UK Country Master Franchisee

Welcome Jacqueline Hume

We are pleased to announce the appointment of our UK Country Master Franchisee, Jacqui Hume.  Jacqui lives at Stockport (near Manchester) in the north of England with her husband, Darryl, 2 dogs (2 year-old Flat-coated Retriever, ‘Indy’ and ‘Alf’, a 3 year-old rescue Cocker Spaniel, and a horse.

A life-long animal lover, Jacqui is a volunteer at her local dog rescue centre and over the years has helped and fostered many dogs, finding them new homes.

Jacqui brings to DogTech UK her valuable experience in sales and marketing, with over 15 years in the commercial retail sector, culminating in her role as Trading Manager for the UK’s largest pet retail network.

Jacqui is keen to promote and further establish DogTech’s gentle training methods in the UK.

Pet Festival Blacktown Council

Anita Strong of Dogtech Hills District (Sydney) attended the Pet Festival held by Blacktown Council.  Anita reported as follows.

It was a great day at the Pet Festival with Blacktown City Council, held at the Animal Holding Facility on 30 October. Despite the heavy downpour for about 20 mintues, the turnout was good with over 1,500 visitiors with their dogs and a cat! I delivered a demonstration on training tips with Chum Chum, which was well received by the audience. Chum, of course, was a star on the day as he showed off his tricks and paraded around proudly in his DogTech T shirt. The event was a fantastic opportunity to reacquaint with previous clients, meet potential customers, talk to people in the dog industry and build relationship and credibility with the Council.

Gold Coast Pet Expo – September 2011

The Gold Coast Expo was held on 17 & 18 September 2011 at Central Park Oval, Varsity Lakes.  Our Dogtech instructor for the Gold Coast, Troy Fitzgerald was on hand to help visitors with their doggie behavioural problems, and was joined by our Queensland Manager, Justin Jordan on Sunday.  This pet expo is the largest Pet and Animal Expo in Queensland, giving businesses a great opportunity to showcase their products and services, and Troy reports that it was a great success.

I will initially be operating the only Canadian franchise in Victoria, BC, but I hope it is not long before more trainers join me and we can help every dog and its human enjoy the rewarding relationships made possible by DogTech™.

Always an animal lover, I have had a keen interest in canine communication since adopting Stella who is likely a Collie /Alsatian cross from a rescue organization more than eight years ago. Her companion, Becks, a smaller mixed breed, joined us a couple of years later.  As a team,  we have helped to train friends and foster dogs, preparing them to fit  in with their human packs.
