Alisa Voss -Sunshine Coast

We welcome Alisa Voss, who has joined our Queensland Dogtech team to look after clients and their dogs in the Sunshine Coast.

Alisa has been involved in vet nursing for over 20 years and has post graduate behavioural qualifications. Alisa says that joining Dogtech as the Sunshine Coast representative allows her to fulfil her lifelong ambition to bring owners and their dogs closer together through gentle training methods and behavioural modification. She has been fortunate enough to own dogs from an early age and knows he incredible pleasure they bring when the relationship is harmonious. Alisa says that the loyalty, affection and love they give us is beyond measure. Having owned a variety of dog breeds including large and head-strong males, she says she is confident in working with all breeds, temperaments and sizes. Alisa is also currently training Assistance Dogs for the disabled, which she says is incredibly rewarding for her as well as the dogs and owners.

Katrina Boyd, our DogTech Puppy School and Group Dog trainer on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, has added a new member to her pack! The ten-week-old American (possibly Pit) Staffy was dumped last week in a box outside a vet. Katrina rescued the pup from the possibility of being put down, introduced her to her family and named her ‘Portia’.

Katrina has enjoyed training the new addition, who is responding really well and has been quite easy to train. Her two dogs, Ruby and Jessie, have been great with Portia and very good role models. Katrina is thrilled to now have what she has always wished for: three dogs––one of which is a Staffy!

Troy Fitzgerald, our DogTech Gold Coast dog training instructor, called in at the Logan Pound to talk to the owners.  While he was there he was walking through the puppy enclosure when he spotted a beautiful little Staffy X, 10 weeks old.  She had apparently been abandoned in the Springwood Shopping Centre and given up to the pound.  Troy took one look at those gorgeous eyes and just had to take her home with him!  He has named her Shelby and we consider she won the ‘doggie lotto’ that day!
