About Us:

We are a husband and wife Dogtech duo servicing the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Nelson Bay areas. We have shared a lifetime of love for dogs, and it is this strong commitment and belief in the value of a respectful, caring, and harmonious relationship between a dog and their owner which is our driving force.

Dogtech philosophy

The Dogtech philosophy rang true for both of us, and is the way we have brought up our own dogs — it is this ongoing passion & commitment we wish to share with you.

Before Dogtech

Before Dogtech, Matt worked for many years within the research sector, bringing strong skills in customer support, project management, and problem solving to his work as a Dogtech Behavioral Training Therapist.

Carly works part time for Dogtech Newcastle, and enjoys a continuing career within the community services sector, as a trainer, facilitator, and consultant. She brings her excellent customer support, needs analysis, patience, and support skills to Dogtech Newcastle.

Our Dogs

We have two dogs — Ziggi and Brookie. Ziggi is a Bichon x Maltese, and Brookie is a breed that we haven’t quite worked out as yet, but is full of smiles and waggling tails. Both love to run in the park socializing with other dogs, and swim at any opportunity – even if it may be in areas with more mud than water.

We have run both our dogs through the Dogtech program, and can speak from first hand experience about the benefit of implementing the program and maintaining consistency.

Since implementing the Dogtech program, our dogs have become calmer, happier, and more compliant companions — we have Dogtech to thank for this. It is seeing the positive power of Dogtech first hand that makes us believe so strongly in the benefits of the program.

Matt,

Just a note of thanks for the help that you gave us with max. he is a different dog from when we moved into our new place — and back to his normal self.

The severe separation anxiety has all gone. We can leave him and he is calm & relaxed about it.

Wendy & Max

The techniques you taught us and Max during your visits have certainly done the trick –and our lovely dog is back!

Thanks again — Wendy & Max — Fingal Bay
