We contacted Alistair to help us with our over dominating, hyperactive teenage dog. The results after the time we have spent with Alistair and following the guidelines he gave to us were amazing, there really isn’t words to describe how Narla has changed for the better.

She is a completely different dog to when we started working with Alistair. Really it is not her that has changed for the better though it is us, we have learnt how to deal with her in a language that she understands and can relate to, making her, and us, much happier and less stressed.

We have also attended Alistair’s group sessions and this has been great to carry on the training and lessons with other dogs and people around. We have learnt a lot about the way the dogs socialize and things to watch for.

I would recommend Alistair’s and Dogtech's techniques to anyone with a dog, whether they think that they are having problems or not. Alistair has had many years experience with dogs and this shows in the way he deals with, and understands their behaviour. We will always be grateful for the help Alistair has given us.

I am a vet nurse with ten years experience. I breed and show dogs and have had a multi dog household for over 13 years. Due to changes in the pack dynamics (death of the oldies) and personal issues, I found myself in a situation where inter pack fights were erupting without obvious provocation. These are house dogs so life became extremely difficult.

I discussed my concerns in depth with Alastair of Dogtech North Island and he concluded by assuring me he could certainly help.

Alastair spent a great deal of time, not only with the dogs but with me on a one to one basis putting plans and strategies in place to rectify this problem. His personal approach and methods are gentle . His handling and modification plans are easy to follow but effective, and the dogs adore him.

After his first visit , and following his advice / new rules for two weeks I was astonished at the change in demeanor and how my own confidence had returned. These changes did not involve any physical or psychological distress to the animals and they responded well to “new rules” .

We proceeded, with Alastair visiting two weekly and moving through modification methods step by step to reintroduce the girls.

I am delighted to say after 3 visits I feel I am back in control of the situation, the dogs are a great deal more relaxed and I am now able to enjoy their company once again. Solutions do not come in a bottle and require dedication and commitment from all parties involved.

I would urge anyone who seeks Alastair’s help to participate wholly in his programme and follow his recommendations religiously. Commitment does pay and I thank him sincerely for his time, experience, advice and genuine passion for what he does. I now have happy, relaxed dogs who enjoy each others company and a leader they can rely on.
